Biography
Born in Warrnambool in 1966, McLoughlin graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Victoria College Melbourne in 1988, and completed her post-graduate degree in Fine Art - Printmaking at R.M.I.T. in 1989.
Having moved to Scotland in 1990, she completed a post- graduate degree in Fine Art at Edinburgh College of Art in 1991. McLoughlin worked at Duncan of Jordanston College of Art, Dundee until her return to Melbourne in 1997. She graduated with a Masters in Visual Art from Sydney College of Art in 2002.
Working in a variety of mediums, including printmaking, digital (moving and still) and site-specific installations, McLoughlin has exhibited extensively since 1989 in Australia and overseas. Her work is found in the collections of La Trobe University, RMIT University, University of Sydney, Edinburgh Hospitals, Scottish Equitable, Warnambool Art Gallery, Smorgans and Private Collections.
