This Exhibition consists of 14 paintings based on Anita von Bibra's experience of the journey on the road from city to country.
The cacophony of information brought to us by the media and our inability to absorb and use it - the latest restaurants, where to travel, political upheavals, natural disasters - is symbolized in these paintings by crumpled newsprint that floats and wraps around the tread-marked background of the images.
As the traveler leaves the city behind, this static gradually drops away allowing an awareness to develop of the soft honeyed light of the landscape and the vast sky, and with it the feeling of space and silence and the awareness of self.
