About the exhibition

Exhibition includes paintings, etchings, engravings, linocuts, monoprints, collages and artists' book.

These new works by Andrew Gunnell draw parallels between the layers of human experience and the physical forms found in the natural world. Sedimentary layers, the growth cycles of trees, the tracery of branches and the interaction between man made and natural structures are themes explored in this exhibition.

Comprised of more than 25 pieces ranging from large oils on canvas to small engravings on paper. The exhibition diminishes the gulf between the purely abstract expression of form and the representational to give a fresh perspective on the naturalistic representation of our internal and external world.
