Biography
Born in Melbourne in 1964, Jim Pavlidis studied Graphic Design at Swinburne Institute of Technology, and Visual Art at VCA, Melbourne.
Since 1985, he has been a freelance artist and illustrator for a variety of clients such as The Wilderness Society, Dynamo House, 21C Magazine and Move Records. He has worked as an artist for The Age newspaper, Melbourne, for over 20 years. Between 1995 and 1997, he worked in London for The Independent and Daily Mail newspapers, and in Paris where he was art director for The Paris Free Voice weekly newspaper.
As a painter and printmaker, Pavlidis has held regular solo exhibitions since 1994, and his work has been included in numerous group and invitation exhibitions in London, Hong Kong and throughout Australia.
