Happy festive season & gallery opening hours

Chrysalis would like to  thank all our Gallery supporters, and to wish you a happy festive season and all the best for the New Year.

We're looking foward to our Opening Exhibition of works by George Matoulas on Thursday 1st of March 2012, and hope to see you there !

The Gallery will be closed over the festive break during the following times:

We will  close at 2.00 pm on Saturday 24th Decemberand re-open at 10.00 am on Wednesday 11th of January

  • Ponch Hawke won the 2011 Basil Sellers Creative Fellowship.

    Finalist in the prestigious Basil Sellers Art Prize, Ponch was awarded the 2011 Basil Sellers Creative Fellowship, an artist-in-residency program at the National Sports Museum.
  • John Ryrie's masterly linocuts again featured in the Silk Cut Award and the Geelong Gallery  Acquisitive Print Award
  • Andrew Gunnell was selected as Finalist in the Rick Amor Print Prize 2011
  • Jim Pavlidis was awarded the State Library of Victoria Fellowship (Visual Art)
  • Kristin Headlam was selected for the Doug Moran prize for portraiture

Chrysalis Gallery was pleased to announce mid year that previously unavailable works by the iconic and much-loved Australian artist Michael Leunig became available in a limited number.

Leunig's  timeless etchings and engravings are highly sought after by collectors and art enthusiasts alike. Chrysalis is pleased to offer an opportunity to acquire these previously unavailable works.

Major website upgrade and new facebook page

We recently relaunched our website with a major update. The new website features a new cleaner and simpler to use interface for browsing and viewing artworks and also the ability to send any artwork as an eCard to your friends and family. Our Homepage also features a four minute  video  'A Conversation with David Moore'
